Gardening for the Birds is a workshop about creating a habitat to encourage birds to come to your yard. Build it and they will come! Sue Dunn, from URI Master Gardeners, will lead the October 7 workshop at the Botanical Center at Roger Williams Park. She will use photographs from her collection to highlight how a garden might provide cover, shelter, nesting, and foraging areas for birds. She will include images of layering methods, mulching with chopped up leaves, planting suggestions for seed producing plants, and berry-producing shrubs and trees. She will share photos of the birds which might be attracted to such a landscape. The Workshop is free with a PAID admission to the Botanical Center.
