Sons of Liberty Distillery Embraces World Whisk(e)y Day with Live Music, Local Seafood and Craft Cocktails
Where else would you embrace your love for whiskey on World Whisk(e)y Day but at Sons of Liberty Distillery? Come down and celebrate all that is good in the world, and of course that is whiskey!
Sons of Liberty is welcoming one of their favorite musicians, the local Wakefield Idol winner, James DeSalvo III, to set the mood with live tunes throughout the day.
If sippin’ on award winning whiskey isn’t enough for you then it’s your lucky day. The distillery is welcoming back TwoTen Oyster Bar and Grill. They will be offering a fresh, summer spread including oysters, littlenecks, shrimp cocktail, and lobster sliders. And if that doesn’t sound appetizing enough, they are also providing spicy Thai lobster sliders and pulled pork tacos topped with cabbage, slow cilantro yogurt sauce and chipotle crema.
Sons of Liberty will be offering their renowned cocktails, beers on tap and whiskey flights. The distillery will be featuring the following whiskies for tasting: UPRISING Single Malt, Battle Cry Single Malt, New England Bourbon, Gala Apple, Pumpkin Spice, Honey Chamomile AND they are introducing their new Peat Smoked Bourbon Whiskey. The new 92 proof whiskey ships to market this Friday and will be launched on Saturday in the distillery’s tasting room! With approximately 600 bottles total, you don’t want to miss the opportunity to try it. In addition to their whiskies, the bar will have beer on tap and hand crafted cocktails available all day!
Finally, calling all college graduates! Did you just suffer through years of exams to get that college diploma? If so, the Sons of Liberty team wants to recognize your achievements by offering $5 whiskey flights to any 2017 college graduate! Just bring in your tassel as proof and get your whiskey fix on at half price.
The distillery will be open regular Saturday hours (1-9pm) and World Whisk(e)y Day will take place from 3-9pm. No money needed at the door, only for drinks and food.
Must be 21+ to attend.
