Java Skin Care products

After Mark and Stephanie Additon launched Updike’s Newtowne Coffee Roasting Company & Café in 2007, using carefully selected coffee beans to roast, Stephanie became increasingly interested in the high antioxidant properties of cold-pressed green coffee beans and their rejuvenating effects on the skin.

By combining the skin-smoothing caffeine found in artisan roasted coffee and/or a green coffee extract with organic essential oils, Stephanie has created four Java Skin Care products, touted by Hollywood celebrities as well as common Rhode Islanders: bar soap (roasted coffee, green coffee extract and fragrance), body scrub (roasted coffee and organic raw sugar), body serum (green-coffee-infused argan oil with orange blossom fragrance) and body wash (roasted coffee, green coffee extract and almond oil).

The antioxidants in these skin-pamperers can super-moisturize, improve elasticity, repair sun spots and fine lines, brighten skin tone and boost overall cell renewal. Who knew that coffee and caffeine could have the topical effects of a mini-spa?

So when that next cup of coffee brings a slow smile to your face, consider this: Its topical application could make that smile even better—softening frown wrinkles and giving you a younger look!
