A pickle often refers to small cucumbers preserved in a mixture of vinegar, herbs and brine. But did you know you can “pickle” almost any vegetable following a few basic steps?

The Basics: Vegetable + Seasoning + Vinegar + Brine = Pickles!

Refrigerator pickles: How will YOU fill your Jar?

Color in your favorite pickles.

Vegetables (in season): Cucumbers, carrots, radishes, cauliflower, green beans, beets

Spices & Seasonings: Dill and garlic is the classic combo.

Experiment! Make your own mix, select from garlic, black peppercorns, red chili flakes, mustard seeds, coriander or cumin seeds.

Vinegar: Use cider, rice wine, or white wine vinegar
