Pick-Your-Own Feasts
When Maggie Mulvena Pearson launched a membership meal delivery service in Rhode Island with her friend Nikki Nix in 2016, she had no idea that seven years later, Feast & Fettle would have 165 employees and 6,500 members and would be making deliveries in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Connecticut. Director of New Concepts Rebecca Brady points out that “Covid was an accelerant for us.” And Brady was brought on to oversee F & F’s expansion into retail—the first Neighborhood Fridge is open for business in Pawtucket and offers prepared meals (with wine and wine pairings!) from the same weekly menu as the delivered meals. Salmon, flank steak, chicken, fresh salads and veggie sides are very popular, along with pantry items that have been added. F & F continues to work with local sources, including Seven Stars Bakery, Navad Bakery, New Harvest Coffee, Virginia & Spanish Peanut Co., Newport Sea Salt. “Everything is made within three miles away and arrives fresh daily,” Brady says. “We always want to create nourishing meals for busy families and now we have grab-andgo items for breakfast, lunch and dinner.”
