Notable Edible's, Loving the Planet and People, Too
Mike Simpson, a co-owner of Lovewell Farms—Rhode Island’s only USDA organic hemp farm—has worked in cannabis policy for almost 20 years. His co-owners, Ryan Plante and Emily Cotter, also have many years of experience in horticulture and drug policy activism.
Lovewell Farms stresses education (science-based research); integrity (sustainability); love (compassion and community); equity (restorative justice); and balance (relationships with local farmers and businesses), plus teamwork. The two-acre farm seeds hemp plants alongside flowers, veggies, natural flora and beehives, setting an example for quality and sustainability for the entire hemp industry.
Together, the team is proud of Lovewell’s processing to extract CBD (cannabinoid compounds). It maintains purity and accuracy, so that the full-spectrum tinctures (with less than .3% THC) provide all the intended benefits to body and mood. (Those effects have not been evaluated by the FDA to treat or cure any disease.)
Though Lovewell’s sleep tincture is the most popular, there are also salves, balms and body butter that incorporate coconut oil, plus essential oils such as lavender, eucalyptus and mint. So, try a CBD bath bomb or salt soak, followed by CBD massage oil and lip balm. And you will be loving yourself well.
